Très chic: A' Tavola

I know its been a long time since I have dubbed something "Très chic" but I found a little gem in Boise that fit the bill. A new little restaurant and marketplace called A' Tavola. It just opened up this spring a few blocks away from my house, and I am in love.

I was first intrigued because I recognized the Italian and the name means "of the table," very fitting for a chic cafe.

They have so many adorable accessories and kitchen and home decor. I could explore for hours!

I love these stands, may have to get one for the wedding!

Mark and I have now been twice and we like to pick out a new cheese and try it on their fresh baguettes. It reminds me so much of my time in Italy and the marketplace over there. The nostalgia alone will keep me coming back.

Must have this! Even though I've been murdering plants lately, it is too cute!
This place is awesome and I am hoping to go again soon with my cousin. She has actually eaten at the cafe and says it is very yummy!

I love finding these places in my beloved Boise. It makes me feel like I get to travel in my own backyard!

Overwhelmed

Sometimes of late, I have been allowing myself to spiral out of control thinking nearly a thousand thoughts at one time. Whether it is future employment, the wedding, the summer, my apartment that seems to be falling apart, or the 14 year-old kids that give me gray hairs, I get a feeling of overwhelming panic.

Then I remember I am the luckiest girl in the world, and if I look around I get to be inspired by art and people every day. Thank you to this fabulous design and Etsy I feel a little bit more in control.

Easter Weekend and Instagram

This weekend was so nice. I got to celebrate my dear friends of nearly 15 years! They turned 25 and it was such a fun party. I also got to enjoy a beautiful Easter Sunday with my amazing family. I have such strong women in my life, and sitting around with aunts and cousins and listening to stories just fills my bucket.

Here are some snapshots from my weekend.

I took the long way home, one of my favorite drives when I was in high school.

Vintage wallpaper that I am going to use for a
bookshelf in the Furniture Revival Project.

My new shoes from Shoemint. I adore them!

I just love Easter and this beautiful beginning to spring!

Spring Break

Today is the end of spring break and heading back to school today. Always a bittersweet feeling, as I love having time off, but I do get into a funk without a routine. I had so many plans that I had to do, but of course none of these things happened.

But what I did get to do was celebrate my niece at her first birthday party, attend my beautiful cousin's bridal shower, go wine tasting with family, and I got to play and cook and enjoy my days with Mark. I can not complain.

So when push came to shove, I spent yesterday mixing the perfect color of ink for the wedding addresses, and started to address them one by one with my new calligraphy pen.

I hate that I focus so much on the details, I'm fairly certain that no one notices except me. But I do love to learn more, and I am testing my new calligrapher skills on my own invitations. Here is a peek at my fabulous studio (the floor).
